Trashing the Dock

In some ways it seems to be a little similar to the Windows Taskbar. When documents and applications are opened an icon is placed in the Dock. When windows are minimised they go to the Dock.

The Dock can also act as a Launcher, holding aliases of applications, folders and documents.

The Trashcan is permanently located at the right-hand end of the Dock.

The Dock is divided into two: on the left hand side are applications and application aliases, while documents and document aliases are on the right.
