Skating Again

After too long a break thanks to being too busy, or feeling unwell, or unsuitable weather I have at last got out skating again.

I headed off at mid-day to Island Bay on the south coast. The sun was warm in a blue sky. There were a very few thin grey clouds near the horizon, and the sea was deep blue, with white caps just gently blowing a little spray from an almost imperceptible breeze.

Weatherpop tells me visibility is 69Km and certainly I could easily see the South Island and parts of the Wairarapa coast.

This was just what I needed in an otherwise tired and gloomy sort of day. The path by the sea was OK. Luckily not very many people were out and about — at the weekend this would not be a good idea at all.
