The last thing I need is more web hosting costing me money, but I was accepted as a beta-tester for the TypePad blog service. From the first moment I was struck by its ease, its good looks and its use of XHTML and CSS.

I set up a mirror of this blog and started adding photos. The photo album feature offers many pleasing designs, handles uploading several photos at a time and automatically makes thumbnails. The TypePad blog has a good RSS Feed. All in all it’s just too good to pass up!

This is going to be a service I recommend to my clients, especially for the photo album feature. The Blog itself is great for travellers and those who want to use a web page to communicate with friends or family. As a beta tester I’ve been given a couple of months free and a 20% discount. I’ve also been given some free codes to give away which take 20% off the price of signing up. If you’re reading this and would like one of the codes then leave a comment and include your name and email address. Priority goes to my clients and people I know from the mailing lists I’m on.
