I was in Christchurch last week where they’ve just opened a new Readings Cinema. I wanted to shout the friend I was staying with (Hi Anne!) to a movie in the flash seats so we headed out to Finding Nemo. I was very disappointed to find that in Christchurch they don’t have the flash seats we can choose here in Wellington, and apparently in Auckland. Nevertheless, Readings’ regular seats are very comfortable.

Finding Nemo was great fun, and very funny. While it certainly has appeal for children I think there’s much more appeal for adults. Ellen DeGeneres voiced the part of Dory and the character was very reminiscent of Ellen’s humour. Even the facial expression was just right for Ellen. Barry Humphries voiced Bruce the shark to perfection. The dreadful child was also superb and her come-uppance was hilarious. Definitely go see this movie!
