BuddyPop lets you quickly access your Apple AddressBook via a customiseable shortcut. (5€ shareware) I use this a dozen times a day and it’s more than worth the tiny shareware fee. It’s a delight to locate a phone number, email address or whatever with a quick keyboard command and typing a couple of letters. Today’s update to 1.0.3 fixes a couple of bugs and adds shortcut keys.

I appreciate your finding and trying out all these shareware bits, but for this purpose, wouldn’t LaunchBar suffice? BTW, I adore my LaunchBar, tho’ I don’t use it for email addresses. Oh, wait! I answered my own question: LaunchBar would complete the email address and invoke your email program, but wouldn’t search a listing for a phone number, etc. Duh! Thanks, Miraz! LOL

Check out the new beta of Launchbar which can now scan the Address Book for phone numbers etc.
