Some time ago I used to use Url-Manager Pro to look after my bookmarks. It had handy access from the menu bar and worked with various browsers. Times, circumstances and usage patterns change and these days I just store bookmarks in Safari. Launchbar picks them up on start up so I can access them with a quick key command. I also store a few in Drop Drawers and pull them up from there.

Today I spotted GoWeb, a favorites manager designed for people who use more than one browser. [Via: MacInTouch] It’s free and was a quick download (2.5Mb) and installation was simple, with a nifty little installer. I was able to import bookmarks from both Safari and Internet Explorer, and it seems capable of importing bookmarks form a number of other browsers. While the interface could use a few refinements (eg the Info drawer closes if you move a bookmark; enclosing folders close if you move a bookmark) this looks like it would be very useful for anyone needing a bookmark manager.
