When I heard news of the earthquake in Iran the report mentioned a World Vision New Zealand freephone number for making donations: 0800 80 2000. I called up and made a contribution. Now, thanks to the Australia Xena Information Page, I’ve found that one can make a credit card donation via the WorldPay service at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. As I don’t have any religious affiliations myself I would have preferred to donate via such a non-denominational organisation. Plus, I actually prefer giving out a credit card number via a secure server to giving it out over the phone. Anyway, the phone number and URL are here in case they are of use to others.
