If you’re using a current beta of WP, then this is due to a known problem in the XML-RPC API interface. During the development phase, we changed timestamp handling a couple of times, and the blog API interface didn’t always keep up with the changes. I’m going to be working on it, and we’ll have it working properly again before WP 1.2 leaves beta testing.
