Apple has discontinued all hardware service for obsolete products with no exceptions. Service providers cannot order parts for obsolete products.

The rules differ slightly according to where you are in the world (or the United States). By my count there are about 280 items on the Asia – Pacific list.

if i counted correctly, i have 4 computers on that list, and one printer.. and they’re all so old that they truly are obsolete. i don’t think it’s too big of a problem, most of these products are old enough that very few people that even own them use them often. i’ve also never had problems fixing any of them on my own. thanks for the heads up, though!
