In TidBITS#734 of 21-Jun-04 Matt Neuburg thoroughly reviewed Microsoft Word 2004 in his article: Word Up! Word 2004, That Is. If you’re a user of Word then this review is absolutely worth reading. He comments on some of the interesting or useful new features, as well as some of the remaining disappointments. His summation was:

Word 2004′s radically improved commenting and revision tracking features, improved Unicode capabilities, full support for AppleScript, and compatibility checking add up to a significantly enhanced program for those of us who use these features on a daily basis.
