A couple of months ago I received an email newsletter, clicked a link and entered a photo competition. Foolishly I didn’t bookmark the page. Since then I’ve searched in vain for the competition. Today somehow I’ve lucked out and found it again. The whole thing’s in Flash so it doesn’t bookmark well, but for my own future reference instructions follow. It looks as though my magpie photo is in about position 95, with an average rating of 1.8.

Go to Canon Australia Digital Image home page and choose Tell me more, then from the My Digital Image menu choose Competition.

Why the heck would anyone do a whole website in Flash? Such foolishness! Every time I use the Back button it jumps me out of where I was and then it’s multiple tedious clicks to get back again. And since they’ve used Flash you’d think they’d make a decent slideshow out of all the photos. Instead you have to click on each photo to view it then click another spot to close that view then click another photo and so on. Sigh.
