Yes, it seems $490,000 of good fortune will come my way around 22 April 2005. How do I know? Well, a psychic kindly sent me a letter, all the way from Switzerland (funny how the postmark’s from PA in the US) to tell me this. Now I just need to send NZ$37 to buy a Sycamore Rosary and then sit back and enjoy my good fortune.

Oh, wait! It was addressed to Mr Jordan — that would be my dad, who died about 11 years ago and never lived at this address. Anyway, I won’t be sending them any money at all, so I guess I’m out of luck. I have informed the authorities though.

It’s been years since anyone’s tried to scam me by actual real, printed dead-tree mail. Four pages of it no less!
