I’ve been noticing a kind of flicker on my Powerbook screen for the last few weeks, but hadn’t got round to doing anything about it. It’s kind of annoying though. Today I spotted this thread at The macosxhints Forums: Powerbook backlight hunting (10.3.8?)

It seems I’m not the only one with this trouble. The temporary fix:

Apparently the current workaround is to turn off automatic brightness in Displays, until Apple fixes it.
