The New Zealand Freelance Writers’ Association has been in existence for over 25 years, and is the only national organization with a membership open to writers of all ages, from beginners to professionals, covering all aspects of writing — fact or fiction. The only criterion for membership is an interest in writing. You do not have to be a published writer to become a member. Find out more, read some interesting articles and see a list of back issues at their new website. RSS feed available.

This is a simple, WordPress based website. The group relies on member subscriptions and the busy editor wants to easily update the website. We’ve now finished adding content and the site is waiting for your visit.

Hi,

The plan is to create a short story of about 20,000 words using different authors to write about 1000 – 1100 words each.

Simply, the previous chapters (of which 2 are already written) are emailed to an author.

- in 12 days they should read the story so far and write their contribution.
- any sub-plot introduced must be completed in their chapter
- do not bring the major plot to a conclusion (this will be left to the last 2 writers)
- without compromising their own approach, please try to keep the writing styles cohesive
- in following these rules, no contribution, including theirs, will be altered until final editing

That’s it. No more regs.

If someone would like to write a section, all they need do is contact me.

Cheers,

Ed
