The World of Difference programme is the Vodafone New Zealand Foundation’s flagship community investment programme. Developed in 2002, it pays the salary and expenses of up to 6 people a year, so that they have the freedom to give up their day job and work full-time for their favourite cause.

So far the programme has enabled 14 Kiwis to unleash their passion and make a world of difference in New Zealand and overseas. And this year we’re looking for up to 6 new winners.

The 2005 World of Difference programme is open

Any passionate New Zealander over 16 years of age can enter. All you have to do is complete the entry form and tell us:

  • which charity or non-profit organisation you’d like to work for and why
  • what skills and experience you have that will benefit your chosen organisation, and
  • what real and relevant difference you feel you will make to that charity

As much as the Foundation would like to see individuals make a difference to its favourite causes (ie youth development, protecting the environment and access to communications technology), entries are not limited to these specific causes or charities. And no-one will be penalised for supporting an organisation that doesn’t align with the key investment areas outlined in the Grants Programme.

In fact we want to hear from everyone who has a dream about making a difference. Entries close on 21 Aug 2005.
