I’d heard of Sudoku, but hadn’t looked into it until I saw my partner scratching away with pen and paper solving a puzzle. A quick Google brought me to Brian DeBoer’s Sudoku widget and in spite of my fears the puzzle is not nearly as impossible as it looks. Brian’s widget is also kind enough to (optionally) highlight incorrect answers on the fly — handy for a beginner like me.

If you haven’t heard of Sudoku, it’s a grid of 81 squares (9 by 9) where you:

Fill in the grid so that every row, every column, and every 3×3 box contains the digits 1 through 9.

There are already some numbers in the grid, to help you get going. If you have Tiger and are on for a bit of thinking have a go.
