Feeling tempted to try a different web browser? Macworld reviews five browsers that have excellent reputations, have recently been updated, and are widely available: Apple’s Safari 2.0, Mozilla’s Camino 0.8.4 and Firefox 1.0.6, The Omni Group’s OmniWeb 5.1.1, and Opera Software’s Opera 8.0.2.

Having myself recently bought OmniWeb, I’m interested to see that the reviewer rates it highly after Firefox. I’ve been enjoying the page thumbnails in the Tab bar, once I got used to the Tab bar being down the side rather than across the top. As a web designer I’ve also found that OmniWeb doesn’t suffer from the extremely annoying problem Safari has of failing to refresh pages properly.
