Apple’s big announcement today seems to bring some new equipment, but apparently not the new Powerbook I was hoping for. This is good news for my bank account, I guess. Products in the announcement:

  • New iMac
  • Front Row remote control
  • New iPod with video playback and new software features (World clock, stopwatch and screen lock)
  • iTunes 6 with 2000 music videos and select TV shows

It’s a fairly safe bet, since New Zealand still doesn’t have an iTunes music store, that we also won’t get the video store.
