My order’s in for the 60Gb iPod and now it’s just a matter of waiting.

The Playlist article mentions screen size, video formats, playlists, slideshows, battery life, audio quality for recording, and most crucially for me, whether existing accessories will be compatible. Looks like I’m going to have to buy new accessories, as all of mine rely on the now vanished remote port.
