On 13 November 2005 the former HMNZS Wellington (F69), a Batch 3 Leander Class Frigate, was scuttled off Wellington’s South Coast. The ship took ninety seconds to sink, thanks to carefully placed charges and holes. Click on the thumbnail to visit my album of 9 images showing the event. My favourite is the fireball.
