I knew it wouldn’t work for a Kiwi, but that still doesn’t stop me trying. I visited the Google Video page, found a video I wanted to buy and clicked the link.
Google Video Error: We’re sorry, but this video is not available in your country.

Sigh.
I had in fact roamed through the Help files first, just to see it in writing before I bothered and didn’t spot anything.
You know, all those US-ians complain about stuff not working on a Mac. That doesn’t matter so much to those of us in parts of the world like New Zealand where it often doesn’t work because we’re not in the US. Crikey, we don’t even have an iTunes store yet.

Well, even if you WERE allowed to purchase in NZ, you would have to get rid of your Mac.
I get this message:
Sorry, purchasing this video requires Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
Some of these shows are better than what’s on iTunes right now! But I don’t want to have to run my Windows box to buy ‘em.

Found a link describing how to get around that error message. Doesnt help the windows problem though.

Hi,
Google is no longer blocking videos in my country ( India ). Is it working for you now?
I can see some of them – for example I just watched a kid do a skateboard flip. But weirdly, the Featured videos on the front page, for example NCIS, CSI, Voyager, Macgyver – when I click them it just returns a message like this:
Your search – tvshow:MacGyver did not return any results.
