OK, don’t follow this link … unless you have US$20 you can spare and your credit card in hand. Bejeweled 2 from PopCap Games is a significant upgrade to the older Bejeweled.
I’m not really a games person: I tend to not really understand them, have little patience for learning complex keyboard commands and just don’t care enough to bother. Bejeweled, though, was one I enjoyed and found addictive way back in 2002. But that was then, and this is now: Bejeweled 2 Deluxe, US$19.95 from PopCap Games. Oh, my!
The music is even better and the visuals are stunning and gorgeous. There are 4 separate modes of game play, explosions, and the occasional voiced “Excellent” to keep you going.
I had every intention of completing my hour or so of free play in trial mode and then thinking about it. After 5 minutes I was hooked and looking for the credit card. I just can’t say enough about how stunning the visuals are. The new gems twinkle and sparkle, but the transitions on completing a level and the planetary backdrops just transform this game into a thing of beauty.
Enough writing: I have games to play!

I could not agree more! While I am an ex-avid gamer (I was big into complex games back in my nerdy high school days), and thought I was above Bejeweled, I thought I would try out Bejeweled 2, and I love it! I never thought I would become a Bejeweled fan, but now I am! Well put!
