In a follow-up to yesterday’s post about enormous bandwidth use, RadioNZ report: Software glitch for Telstra internet users:

A fault in the company’s software affected TelstraClear’s cable networks in Wellington and Christchurch and it began sending e-mails on Thursday telling many customers they had exceeded their gigabyte limits. …

TelstraClear says the fault developed while it was installing new software, and has taken the site down while it tries to find the problem.
