Here’s a News Release I put out this morning to mark my 300th MacTip:

This week marks issue number 300 of the free MacTips newsletter. For the last six years Miraz Jordan’s weekly MacTips have informed and helped Mac users to make the most of their machines.

A toast to Miraz! Week after week she produces helpful, clearly explained tips. Many of these tips shorten my tasks and reduce my frustration as I do daily battle with computer and software. Thank you, thank you.
— R M, Wellington, New Zealand.

Tips average 400 words and explore the things most Mac users want to do with their machines: email, photos, music, chat, connect an iPod, and so on. The focus is on the software included with a Mac.

It was May 2001 when Miraz first realised that she could create a weekly MacTip to answer all those repeated questions her clients kept asking. Initially available as an email subscription, with a web archive, the Tips are now also available as an RSS feed.

The Tips are read by Mac users all over the globe, who welcome the practical, plain language help.

I love MacTips! As a recent Mac convert I was somewhat at a loss with my new Macbook and Macpro. Mactips is the BEST thing I have found for getting me up to speed. Thank you!
— N.Duckworth, Lake of the Ozarks, MO.

Miraz Jordan has spent thousands of hours with Mac users at all levels, from total beginner through to experienced user. And her expertise shines through in the Tips.

In 2003 she was selected for a UNESCO Exceptional Adult Educator Award for her work in adult education. With a lifelong background in teaching and training, and expertise in plain language, she has a strong reputation for clear writing.

MacTips has been a great help to me! It has introduced me to such new features as iChat. MacTips explains concepts in steps that are easily understood.
— B R, San Francisco, California, U.S.A.

With six years of Tips behind her, Miraz has every intention of continuing to explain Macs and Mac software to her ever growing readership.

An invaluable reference for those of us who have converted to the Mac platform. Thanks, Miraz!
— Colin Jackson, technology commentator, New Zealand.

For more information visit the MacTips archive, where readers can also subscribe to the RSS feed or the mailing list, or even leave comments. A new Tip is published each Wednesday morning.
