Webstock 08 Code for Freedom is on it’s way — officially.

We have a website, a blog, speakers, information, and yes, the famous First Ticket Auction on TradeMe!

The dates: 14 and 15 February for the Conference, with 3 days of workshops beforehand, Monday 11 to Wednesday 13th.

The venue: Wellington, New Zealand. Which in February is just glorious! Sunshine. The harbour. Blue skies.

Speakers include:

  • Amy Hoy — Amy Hoy is a user interface nerd-designer-writer-educator, programmer.
  • Heather Champ — Flickr Community Manager, kickass photographer
  • Shawn Henry — leader of W3C’s Web Accessibility Initiative
  • Kelly Goto — Design ethnographer, co-author of acclaimed book “Web Redesign: Workflow that Works”.
  • Jill Whalen — SEO expert
  • Rachel McAlpine — Web world wizard
  • Liz Danzico — Former editor in chief of Boxes and Arrows, information architect, usability analyst.

… and various chaps. :-)
