Wellington seldom has thunderstorms, and they generally involve only a couple of claps of thunder and flashes of lightning. On Sunday though we had a cracker! It was great to watch.
What wasn’t so great was that it took down our TV and Internet, and for various reasons we won’t be back online till Thursday.
While I can go downtown and use the Cafenet wireless network to grab a few emails and send an occasional blog post, being offline seriously crimps all my activities, including blogging.
One thing it really throws into sharp relief is that 98% of my work requires being online … It’s time for a wee holiday.
And … between having many video podcasts stored up and there being only about three TV shows that I actually watch in a week, I’m not missing the TV at all. Interesting.
I’m not that happy about missing The Closer and NCIS though.

Our internet’s working though and that must be the same distribution box. *wonder*
p.s. feel free to come visit for “The Closer” tonight if u want.
The lightning hit the isolator. That’s a kind of fuse thing in the grey box on the side of the house. That makes it really specific to the house.
