Spanning Sync keeps my calendars together

Since I switched to Google Apps I’ve been using Google’s online calendar for appointments and events. That’s very fine — it’s online, so I can access it anywhere, or more important, from any machine, but my cellphone and iPods sync with iCal, not Google Calendar.

That’s been easily solved with the most excellent Spanning Sync.

Synchronize Google Calendar and Apple iCal. Share calendars between multiple Macs. Share calendars with your coworkers, family, and friends. And while you’re at it, connect Google Calendar to your iPod, mobile phone, and other devices.

But after installing Leopard yesterday I couldn’t make Spanning Sync work. After a few minutes troubleshooting I thought to check the forums, and sure enough there was a known problem. The team were on to it though, and this morning this appeared: Spanning Sync Blog: Leopard-Compatible Spanning Sync v1.1 Now Available.

Installed. Working nicely again. I’m happy.
