Time machine arrow. What makes Apple so special is the tiny touches in the seemingly unimportant things. Such as the menu bar icon for Time Machine.

I just glanced up while Time Machine was busy backing up my work, and noticed that not only does the icon’s arrow point anti-clockwise, but it also rotates in that direction while working.

Not such a big deal you think … but notice how the wee clock hands also rotate anti-clockwise during a backup.

And for the curious, the scissors icon belongs to Jumpcut, while the green line shows battery status, thanks to SlimBatteryMonitor.

Update: something about embedding the video broke the page. Instead click the link above to see the video.

This page is completely mangled in Firefox. Something wrong with the coding for what I think might be a movie.

Darn. Thanks for the alert. I’ll see if I can fix it.

Two things you can try to embed video: Viddler (which I’ve been using a lot lately) and the QuickTime Embed Plugin (which I use for my QuickTime videos).

That is kind of cool. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a tiny movie — in full size!
