Yes, there’s an astronomy movie — Palindrome:
Palindrome is the official motion picture event for New Zealand’s contribution to the worldwide 2009 International Year of Astronomy.
It’s a psychological drama about a guy trying to fulfil his childhood dream of being an astronomer. I’d have quoted the full synopsis, but the Promo page above has all its text in images (sigh).

I’m not so much into psychological drama myself, but may watch this if it ever drifts across my vision. I found one part of the promo particularly amusing: where the actor talked about how much fun it all was, while the scene behind him showed the character he plays thumping the walls of a lift in torment. Hmmm.
