A snippet today on the increasing use of Firefox in New Zealand:

Firefox, created by non-profit European organisation Mozilla, is steadily eating away at Explorer’s customer base, with just over 20% of New Zealand web surfers using Mozilla browsers in July 2009, compared with just 11% in July 2006.

For this site here, over the last little while, 40% of visitors use Firefox, 27% use Safari, 26% use Internet Explorer. That accounts for around 95% of visitors. The rest use various other browsers.

The Internet Explorer users are spread between versions 7 (44%), 8 (37%) and 6 (18%). For Firefox, 56% use version 3.5.x, 33% version 3.0.x, and the rest use other versions.
