Hi Peter,

I’m afraid I can’t help with the Mail.app side of things. I didn’t state it in as many words, but my post above was referencing the web interface.

I *can* say that I’ve switched from doing Gmail in a browser to using Mailplane – it’s like a browser, but it’s a standalone application dedicated to Gmail and it works beautifully. I totally recommend it as being worth more than its (low) price.

Hey, I know it’s been a while, but I was wondering how this works with a mail client like Apple Mail? I’m assuming the messages show up in multiple mailboxes, but how to I get multiple labels on one email? Do I copy or move the message into the other mailbox or is it not possible? Thanks.

I guess not everyone ‘thinks’ in the way Outlook trains people to. This technique with labels allows a lot of flexibility, and can lead to some very fast and effective searches.
