Adult literacy is poor in New Zealand

You can’t develop an inclusive, multi-cultural democracy when large numbers of citizens don’t have the necessary literacy skills.

People want to read ‘stuff’ on handheld devices – not just the Kindle and other ‘official’ ebook readers, but also iPhones and the like.
