Tonight I’ve been fooling around with a bunch of things under OS X. I imported some photos from my camera and experimented with making web pages and slideshows. While I was doing that I stopped to watch a couple of full-screen videos I’d copied to my drive. That changed the screen size / resolution of course and did exactly what it does under OS 9 and earlier — leaves windows lying around in strange places.
What it did to iPhoto was to move the window partly offscreen, including the Title Bar and the minimise / maximise buttons. Here’s where I discovered that you can’t drag an OS X window by its edges.
I couldn’t use iPhoto much — the scrollbars were hidden, half the controls were unavailable. By changing the screen resolution and moving the window way down and to the left I’ve finally been able to regain control over the window. What a pain!
