Photoshop hasn’t been made for OS X yet, but I wanted to install it and ImageReady so I could play with some photos I’d imported with iPhoto. Put the CD in and double clicked the installer. So far, so good. However my Photoshop is an upgrade through several versions from v4 and I reached a point where it wanted the original CD. No problem — I ejected the v6 CD and inserted the v4 CD and poised my cursor ready to select it in the dialog box.
Well, the CD showed up on the desktop but it didn’t show up in the dialog box. Again, I tried various things, but the solution finally was to start up from OS 9, install the software, and then revert to starting up from OS X.
Still doesn’t completely work though. I’ve set iPhoto to use ImageReady for editing, but when I try to do that it brings up an error message. ImageReady will open the picture and edit it independently, but not via iPhoto.
