Somehow this month I’ve come dangerously close to exceeeding my allotted bandwidth. I have 1024Mb per billing month and for the last 4 or 5 days have been gradually using up the last 60mb of that. Once I hit my limit it costs 20 cents per megabyte. That’s the kind of thing which can quickly rack up large bills.
Apart from cutting way back on the web surfing, software downloads, and RSS news reading I’ve taken the step of turning off the images in Safari. The only trouble with that is that there seems to be no way to selectively view images, as Opera, for example, allows. Here’s what I just sent to Apple.
If I have turned off images in Preferences then the only way to load an image on a page is to turn images on again and refresh. I’d like a contextual menu, toolbar button or menu item to load one or all images on a single page.
