Life’s just fine at the moment. So’s work. Apart from dreary autumn weather all is well. So I can’t explain why everything is just so frustrating and annoying these days.
This morning I foolishly tinkered with my WordPress blog and made a total mess of updating with the latest beta (well, delta). That took my blog totally offline for at least an hour and the only one I can blame is me. It all seems to be in order now, thank goodness.
That done, I discovered about 15 comments waiting for approval. In truth, there were about 5 sensible comments, some duplicated, and only three or four spam. If you offered a sensible comment that will now have been approved. Over on my TypePad blog there were two sets of five pornographic comment spams. Sigh. At least I can bulk-delete.
The Internet’s been unbearably slow for me today. Uploading files for a client’s website drove me crazy with error after error. Maybe it’s because I switched on my firewall. Updating another client website, housed on a Microsoft Content Management system, was so slow I had to abandon it after approving one post and handling a couple of emails took a whole hour.
Time to go do something else I think. Maybe a Babylon 5 DVD – I’m watching Season 4 just now. Captain Sheridan’s back from Z’ha’dum and they’re heading into the final showdown with the Vorlons and the Shadows. It’s still the best thing on TV!
