It’s surprising how long it can take to move a set of tutorial pages from one place (and system) to another but I’ve now completed the move for my Introduction to Cascading Style Sheets tutorial.
There are more than 30 pages of explanation and demonstration. Each page makes one short point. The whole course is introductory and doesn’t claim to replace a good text book. Rather than being thorough, and listing, for example, all the different styles of border, it aims to explain fundamental concepts.
- What is a style sheet?
- Link from the Page
- Create the Stylesheet
- Rules and Selectors
- Inheritance, Parents and Children
- Padding, Borders, Margins, Width
- Place Pictures
- Class, Span, Div
Initially the notes were intended simply to accompany my 4-hour course, but I believe they stand alone quite satisfactorily. If you notice any rough edges please let me know.
