If you actually visit my Blog or the Mac Tips Archive rather than just getting the RSS Feed you’ll have noticed a bit of finetuning over the last couple of days. I’ve finally had the time to tune up the stylesheets so both sections of the site now use essentially the same style sheet and the same colour scheme. I’ve also refined the colours, so everything should be a bit more harmonious.
Curious, really, that I should have settled into a green and brown colour scheme — inspiration from nature’s colours around me, and based on the Tikouka, or cabbage tree, after which the Blog is named. Curious, because for the first 90% or more of my life I was a ‘blue’ person, not really caring much for green and often actively disliking brown. I guess that’s the kind of change which comes with maturity.
My biggest colour gripe these days is that in this South Pacific country black dominates. The national icon, the rugby team, is called the All Blacks, with variations on the name for other sports teams. Here in Wellington, the capital, the clothing colour of choice for civil servants and others in government circles is black. What’s wrong with a bit of colour?
