The neighbours rang me this evening: “Guess what! Our new Mac mini has arrived. We’re just setting it up.” I was out the door in minutes. It wasn’t just the Mac mini, of course — they also have two new cats to visit with.
The first thing I saw though was the box — it’s minute. The neighbours already had the Mac hooked up to their network and were busy connecting in to their music and file server. The machine is easily overlooked on the desk, utterly dwarfed as it was by the monitor and keyboard of the old PC. After wistfully tapping a few keys and encouraging the cats out of hiding I headed back home to my good old Powerbook.
