Randy Cassingham’s weekly THIS is TRUE is an excellent publication. You can subscribe to a free edition or pay a small fee for the Premium edition.
He often runs stories about the idiocy of bureaucrats and many stories about zero tolerance in schools — the kind of thing where a school may suspend a five year old for carrying confectionery shaped like a knife or gun, for example.
In THIS is TRUE for 26 June 2005 he runs a story of a school principal forcing a student to carry out a crazy punishment. In editorial at the end of the newsletter he conjures a wonderful word: “idiocrats”. What a shame we need this word. But what a good word for it!
Copyright conditions prevent me from writing specifics, but you may be able to find the story in his free edition — check his website. And consider either a free or a paid subscription too: his newsletter is always a good read.
