… the Manager Tools podcast is perhaps the most useful bit of digital audio I’ve ever found. It provides a weekly half hour (or so) of specific, step-by-step advice for anyone who’s a supervisor, or who works with one (i.e. anyone at a company) to improve staff working relationships, make meetings run on time, delegate tasks properly, coach people to improve their performance, handle email better, and give effective feedback.
That caught my attention so I grabbed the feed and have been listening with interest. I’m far from the target audience of corporate managers. I don’t manage staff, have department and other similar corporate meetings to attend and don’t report to an employer.
I do have business relationships and meetings with clients though and I think much of the practical advice contained here is much more widely applicable. This is the kind of training which normally costs very large denomination bills, but it’s absolutely free. Thanks, Derek, for the tip.
