I hate spam in all its forms. We recently bought a new letterbox. It keeps out the wind and rain and has enough room for an A4 magazine, regular sized letters and the like. It’s not large, but it’s big enough. And using the Internet has made me more security conscious so I bought one with a lock.
This morning it poured with rain. We even had a flash of lightning and a roll of thunder — not so common in Wellington. When the rain stopped I checked the letterbox. First out was a soggy bill we need to pay, followed by a soggy cheque and a few damp letters. Snug and dry, filling up the letterbox, was a wad of paper spam. Huge fliers and pages of junk mail I’m not interested in and don’t want.
So now I have damp legitimate mail and dry junk mail. Sigh.
