A friend kindly gave us vouchers for the local East Day Spa. We went along on Friday evening to redeem the vouchers for a massage. I opted for the:
Shanti – 60 minutes: gentle massage of slow, long flowing strokes that induces a deep state of relaxation and makes you feel like you are floating afterwards.
We arrived a little early so we could sit in the quiet room with a green tea and shake off the rigours of the week. Unfortunately the other occupants of the room enjoyed loud chatting, exchanging comments on their shoes and bags, and demonstrating their cellphone ringtones.
The massage itself was wonderful, and all it claimed to be; the effects have stayed with me all weekend.
