Rob Griffiths tells us how to Update podcasts in iTunes via script:
a one-line AppleScript can greatly ease the process of updating your podcasts — thanks to a couple of features of iTunes and the system.
He explains the script, what to do with it and how to add it to the iTunes menu and give it a custom keystroke. All great stuff.
I’ve made the script and tested it (and now just have to remember to use it). But rather than adding the custom keystroke I can quickly call it up using Launchbar. I’m sure Quicksilver users could call it up quickly too.
And if you haven’t ever checked out Quicksilver or Launchbar then you should do so right away. [After a dalliance with Quicksilver I’ve reverted to Launchbar. Must write about that sometime.] With either you can have instant access to anything on your Mac.
