Back in March I bought several items of Scott eVest clothing, taking advantage of one of the special sale deals.
These weren’t the first eVest items I’d bought — I started several years ago with different trousers and jackets that I still wear and enjoy.
Although the photo here shows me carrying my digital camera, one of the things I love about the SeV clothes is all the specially constructed pockets. They’re designed to hold gadgets, but without being bulky and heavy.
I keep my iPhone in its Nutshell case on my belt, but if I didn’t then there’s a pocket for that too.
Previously I bought the Hidden Cargo pants. They fit beautifully and are very comfortable, but I keep them for client visits and the like.
I also have a pair of Ultimate Cargo Pants that are fantastic for plane travel, but are definitely summer weight.
I wanted some trousers for round the house and dog walking. My years old Kathmandu trousers were ready to disintegrate, so I decided to try the Flex Cargo Pants in brown and grey, and on impulse added a yellow Pack Windbreaker too. That’s what I’m wearing in the photo.
The clothing is all very comfortable. My only real criticism is that many items come in only one or two colours, often dark. Wellington, New Zealand is a place where a lot of black is worn — all that government ‘dark’. It should be a place of colour and variety, and I hate adding to the overall sombre mood. I was thrilled that I was able to buy a bright yellow for my jacket — it should come in handy when cycling too.
I imagine this won’t be the last time I add new SeV clothes to my wardrobe.
